AWOL 02:55
I walked out on you today and it ain't me, it's you. I'm not quite sure what to say, we just got conflicting points of view. You wanted to see the world, I thought we could just stay put. You convinced me you were perfect but I'll tell you right now it was all looks. You told me I held rank although I knew about the others. You gave my body strength but mentally, you drain me. Heart breaker, you drain me. Life taker, you drain me. I know we've grown close, but I think it's time that I cut the rope 'cause it's just been around my neck the whole time you've been dragging me around for all of your war crimes. Serve my country with honor and pride, hooah my brothers, we're doing our time. Flag on my uniform, god, guts and glory. Gotta love the smell of daisy cutters in the morning. Driven by the thought of freedom by my side, I'll lay the groundwork for years without questioning why. But I've been looking in the faces of those we're killing to save. Our flag brings no relief when all around us are unmarked graves. Blood for blood, there's no reason to die. Your views are clotted when your soul is desensitized. Cap and clap, it's your brave ol' corp. Hup, two, three, four, help us buy more wars. And I know where you're coming from, life is tough but we all grew. You just have no concern, you think the fucking world revolves around you. Let's go our separate ways, hope you'll go mine some day.

Pacemaker 03:00
Mirrors are imperfect for reflection requires two. One is outside, one is within, but which one are you? Your body may seem perfect, but it's just the same as mine. If your heart reflected your appearance it would probably flat line. Do you feel that pulse reminding you that you’re alive? Despite what’s in your purse, you're just you and that's alright. Show me what's inside cause I see the rest all the time. Let go of the self-resentment. Rather, your spirit be relentless. Billboards are imperfect for persuasion requires two. One is searching, one is selling identity. Do you feel okay with feeling bad when they say you're too old, too fat, too sad, too flat? We’re slaves to insecurity, and they know that. So just believe in yourself, you will see what individuality means, it's not who they want you to be. Don't define your life by buying into commercial lives. Let go of the self-resentment. Rather, your spirit be relentless. You may live guided by the vanity in your room and a TV screen. May we all lead hideous lives lest we wrest vanity from these 30 second dreams. If your heart reflected your appearance, all you'd hear is inconsistent beeps. Pull out the pacemaker and feel your beat. It's yours and only yours. You're not flawless, you’re gorgeous. Whoever you think you are, you are you.

Scavenger 02:58
You cheer and you cheer for your corporate-funded idol with faith in the vote to wash your fears away. Left side, right side, this campaign is a lullaby and it's putting you to sleep as they continue to keep us in check and call the shots. We nourish their power, they watch us rot. These mannequin faces only care about corporate interests, not yours. Two wings, though separated, are still part of the same vulture. Further into debt we crawl, one person cannot save us all. Collectively we make the call to grant control, concede the fall. You push for change with each new candidate, you're planting weeds in soil that's pushing daisies. This system's profit over people, minority over majority, privilege over equality, the wealthy over you and me. "So cast your vote to the electoral college! We appreciate your will to participate as well as your suggestions. And remember, use it or lose it." The ballot is bullshit. These mannequin faces only care about corporate interests, not yours. Two wings, though separated, are still part of the same vulture. Belly up, on our backs, we watch them circle; open arms to the attack. We give our bodies so they stay full. Desperate sacrifice for a scavenger. No more sacrifice for a scavenger. Break open my ribs, tear through my chest. The dependent are held by the complacent, the weak prey on the dead. Break open my ribs, tear through my chest. The dependent are held by the complacent, the weak prey on the dead, so rise up.

about

*** NOTE: We acknowledge that the lyrics in the chorus of an old song from this EP were a poor choice of words to use to convey our message. That song was about voicing your opinion and speaking up when you see something wrong taking place. Despite the message of the song being pretty clear throughout the rest of the lyrics, we still believe that the words could possibly be misconstrued or triggering for certain people, so we have decided to remove it from this release.
